The BDOAA Women’s Astronomy Olympiad Preparation Camp is an exclusive two-day intensive programme designed to introduce young female students to the core concepts of observational and theoretical astronomy. This camp bridges the gap between raw curiosity and competitive astronomy, paving the way for exciting future Olympiad opportunities.

About the camp
This exclusive camp is tailored to build the physical intuition and mathematical foundations central to understanding the cosmos. Across two action-packed days, participants will dive into hands-on sky mapping, celestial coordinate tracking, and the physics of stellar light.

Full camp schedule (Tentative)
Day 1 — Friday, 10 July
Led by Tahiatun Nahar Juthi, with Labib Bin Azad (University of Dhaka) conducting the afternoon session. The first day kicks off with an essential orientation to the Bangladesh Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (BDOAA), an overview of the competitive syllabus, and a deep-dive into navigating the night sky.

Day 2 — Saturday, 11 July
Led by Mohtasiba Hossain & Fairooz Shaira. Day two goes deeper into the physics and mathematics of the cosmos. Participants will master how astronomers map out the sky, measure stellar brightness, and analyze cosmic radiation.
