* Physical Assembly:
- Extend the Tripod: Open the two-stage clasps on the tripod legs and extend them fully. Ensure they are locked securely to provide a stable base.
- Mount the Telescope: Lower the telescope head mount into the tripod base. Make sure it is seated completely in the cutout.
- Secure the Device: Tighten the two thumb screws on the side until they are finger-tight. Do not over-tighten, but ensure the mount is stable.
* Connectivity and Software:
- Power On: Press the power button located on the motorized arm of the telescope.
- Wi-Fi Connection: On your mobile device (Android or iOS), go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the network named Equinox 2.
- Launch the App: Open the Unistellar App. It will automatically detect the telescope once the Wi-Fi connection is established.
* Observing and Imaging:
- Select a Target: Use the app’s catalog to choose a planet or deep-sky object.
- Automatic Alignment: Once an object is selected, the telescope will automatically move (slew) to the target.
- Capture: Use the app interface to view the live feed and save images directly to your device.
* Shut Down Procedure:
- Park the Telescope: In the app, navigate to Settings > My Telescope and select Park. This returns the telescope to its home position for safe transport.
- Power Off: Once the telescope stops moving, select Turn Off in the app or use the physical power button.
