Radio astronomy is a branch of astronomy where radio emission from astronomical objects are studied. The boundaries of the radio window of the [[em|electromagnetic spectrum]] is defined by the [[opacity]] of Earth's atmosphere and the [[quantum noise]] in coherent amplifiers.
