During the morning session between 9 am and 1 pm, students will conduct field work in the village 'paras' assigned to them. The field work includes resource mapping, transect walk, getting familiar with the villagers, listening to their stories, and filling up a questionnaire based on their answers. In the evening session, between 6 and 8 pm, students will have to give presentations on each of the 5 aforementioned topics. Four parts of the survey correspond to the first four topics. The second topic has an added questionnaire in google form and the final topic (rural market) questionnaire has to be improvised. Note that although the **questionnaire survey** does not have any preset schedule, the presentations do have a schedule. You can ask the villagers questions from any part of the questionnaire on a given day, but make sure that you have enough material on a particular topic before the scheduled presentation of that topic. ^ # ^ Date ^ Day ^ Morning ^ Evening ^ |:::||| 9 am -- 1 pm | 6 -- 8 pm | | Arrival | Jan 3 | Tue | Arrival; [[.:lfe201:report:0|Field orientation]] (3--5 pm) || | Day 1 | Jan 4 | Wed | Mapping and icebreaker | [[.:lfe201:report:0|Introductory Presentation]] | | Day 2 | Jan 5 | Thu | Transect walk, survey | [[.:lfe201:report:1|Presentation on Topic 1]] | | Day 3 | Jan 6 | Fri | Survey | [[.:lfe201:report:2|Presentation on Topic 2]] | | Day 4 | Jan 7 | Sat | Excursion ([[https://en.banglapedia.org/index.php/Mahasthan|Mahasthan]]) || | Day 5 | Jan 8 | Sun | Survey | [[.:lfe201:report:3|Presentation on Topic 3]] | | Day 6 | Jan 9 | Mon | Survey | [[.:lfe201:report:4|Presentation on Topic 4]] | | Day 7 | Jan 10 | Tue | Market visit, survey | [[.:lfe201:report:5|Presentation on Topic 5]] | | Day 8 | Jan 11 | Wed | || | Day 9 | Jan 12 | Thu | Prep for Final Presentation | Prep for cultural night | | Day 10 | Jan 13 | Fri | [[.:lfe201:report:6|Final presentation]] | Cultural night | | Departure | Jan 14 | Sat | Departure | Bus leaves at 9 am | ==== Daily routine ==== Any 6--7 days between 4 Jan and 11 Jan. | Breakfast | 7:30 -- 8:15 am | Attendance | | Morning briefing | 8:30 -- 8:50 am | | Field work in PRA method | 9:00 am -- 1 pm | | Lunch | 1:30 pm -- 2:30 pm | Attendance | | Group work or rest | | Snacks | 5 -- 5:30 pm | Attendance | | Presentation | 6 -- 8 pm | | Dinner | 8 -- 9 pm | Attendance | | Returning to rooms | 11 -- 11:59 pm | The breakfast, lunch and snacks times are the same for the other days. Students should use their daily journal as notes for the daily presentation. So please finish writing the journal before the presentation. ==== Journal ==== Every student has to keep a daily journal. They will write what they have done, learned and concluded in a given day. The journal must be finished before the daily presentation at 6 pm.
